The Dissociative Field Framework

An independent research project in philosophy of mind, undertaken without institutional constraints on where an argument is allowed to lead. This page is the honest record.

The framework

The idea, in short

A theoretical account of consciousness proposing that the human subject is a nested hierarchy of dissociated alters, from the cellular level through to the organism-level narrative self, each participating in a universal field of consciousness at its own scale.

The framework offers a fractal resolution to the decomposition problem, drawing on Bernardo Kastrup's analytic idealism and integrating research from predictive processing, bio-electric field biology, and split-brain neuropsychology. Developed in collaboration with Claude (Anthropic).

Status, honestly: the series went through a full critical peer review that found real problems, and the papers are being revised one by one. Some arguments survive contact with review, some improve because of it. This is the second kind.

The writing

The Parliamentary Self

A Substack publication on consciousness, plural agency, and the nature of mind. The essays are where the framework's ideas get exercised in public, at readable length.
